Laughing can be total body workouts!
Researchers believe that laughter is related to strengthening human connection. When you are comfortable with one another ,and feel open and free, laughter comes. When you are with groups, the more bonding you have the more laughter occurs.I know you will think that laughter is very contagious. But be careful what your laughing about. Sometimes they might be laughing at you.
Laughter is the best medicine. I agree with that! The ability to laugh is helpful to those coping with major illnesses and stress of life's problems. It can basically bring balance to all the components of the immune system, which help us to fight illnesses.
Laughter lower the levels of certain stress hormones. I have read this: Stress hormone suppresses the immune systems , increase the number of blood platelets , which can cause obstruction of the arteries, and the blood pressure will raise. When we laugh the natural killers cells destroy tumors and viruses. There are group of laughter yoga around the world, who happen help those patient to recover from diseases. They let them join the patient to their group. teach them how to use the laughter to help them back to normal life, free from illnesses.
What may surprise you even more is the fact that researchers estimate that laughing 100 times is equal to 15 minutes on an exercise bike. Your blood pressure will lower. There is increase in vascular flow and oxygenation of the blood, which further assists healing. When you laugh your diaphragm and abdominal, respiratory, facial, and some muscles works. Thats why you feel exhausted after a long bout of laughter.
