Spices!! part 2
Anise is derived from the seed of an aromatic plant in the parsley family. Its strong licorice flavor is used to flavor souffles, biscuits, cookies, and cakes. Used in a tea, it is supposed to aid oily skin, improve memory, and increase the production of breast milk for nursing mothers. Anise also serves as a natural antacid for heartburn and indigestion , and as an expectorant for getting rid phlegm in the respiratory tract.
Black pepper, one of the most common everyday seasoning, does more than just add zing to your meals-it also stimulates digestion, eases flatulence, relieves constipation, and improves circulation.
