Postpartum Incontinence

Best Blogger Tips

If it's more than six months since you gave birth and you are still incontinent, so it's time to consult your doctor.  Pregnant women often experience stress incontinence, particularly in the latter part of pregnancy, when the fetus becomes heavy and drops into the pelvic cavity.  In some cases, during the pushing stage of vaginal delivery, the pelvic  floor muscles are damaged causing the bladder and bladder neck to drop, which in turn, makes it harder to retain urine.

Although duration and difficulty of labor and the size of the baby and contributing factors, there is no way to predict who will experience postpartum incontinence. Most women will regain their muscle control within six months after giving birth. Try kegel exercises , which will help you for fast healing process.

Kegel exercises  consists of contracting and relaxing the muscles that form part of the pelvic floor. The aim of Kegel exercises is to improve muscle tone by strengthening the puboccocygeus of the pelvic floor. Kegel is a popular prescribed exercise for pregnant women to prepare the pelvic floor for physiological stresses of the later stages of pregnancy and vaginal childbirth this is according to Wikipedia.

Urinary incontinence isn't  rare but it is not normal.  Women should not be incontinent the rest of their life, just because she had a child.

Immunity Myth of childhood

Best Blogger Tips

Myth: It pays to buy a special anti bacterial soap.
Fact:  Since viruses not bacteria cause most childhood illnesses, special bacterial soaps aren't necessary.  Plain soap and water are just as well.

Myth: If your child has a cold or the flu, keep him away from others.
Fact: By the time your child shows symptoms, it's too late.  The vast majority of illnesses are contagious before the illness manifest. Most colds example are contagious the day before children get sick.

Myth: Fever is always cause for alarm
Fact: Fever is not a disease; Its an immune response that helps the body defend itself.  There's evidence that many infectious organisms don't do as well at higher body temperatures and that treating fever with ibuprofen or acetaminophen may prolong the illness says some doctors. This explain why doctor may take a wait-and-see approach when your child has fever. But sometimes they will just prescribed paracetamol to lower the fever.

Myth: You can boost your child's immunity y giving her big dose of Vitamin C.
Fact: The body doesn't store vitamin C and can only use so much at one shot. Giving your child vitamin C supplement to boost her vitamin C intake above the recommended daily allowance ( 40 to 45mg) won't do her any good.  Any excess will simply be excreted and not used by the body. You can give foods rich in Vitamin C such as orange juice, strawberries etc.

Myth:  Chicken pox is a harmless childhood illness.  Everybody gets it.
Fact:  More than hundred of child die from the chickenpox each year. Mother should always follow up the schedule of immunization of the child.

If you see something wrong with your child, try to see your doctor immediately.

Caribbean Hotels

Best Blogger Tips

My best friend who is living in the US had a blast getaway with her husband last December. It is their second honeymoon. They went to Jamaica to treat themselves; they took advantage of a great all inclusive vacation package and had a romantic and relaxing time.

One area they had considered visiting in Jamaica was Ocho Rios which is a popular tourist town. After reading about Ocho Rios and looking at the variety of different Ocho Rios hotels they decided on the Negril area, just because they had heard so much about the Negril Beach.

The resort where they stayed was located right on the Negril Beach. My friend said they spent a lot of time just exploring the beach which is miles long. They also enjoyed the many different water activities the resort offered in their package, and she was surprised how good she was in a kayak. She said she flipped over several times but enjoyed the refreshing dunk in the water. She also said she learned to play tennis, which she has always wanted to do.

Overall my friend said the resort was very luxurious with an impressive marble entrance and the many different dinning options, and they especially enjoyed the Jamaican fare at the Reggae cafe. She said the different eating spots offered cuisine from around the world, so you could have a different taste experience every night. With all of the great dinning options they had no need of dining off the resort, and as all of the meals, drinks, and even tips were included in their package price why would they? My friend and her husband were extremely pleased with everything and she said the service was great. She felt the price they paid was excellent value because of everything that was included and they had more than enough to do, eat and enjoy during their stay. The resort they stayed at was the Breezes Grand Resort and Spa Negril Jamaica, and they just really enjoyed the Negril area. Jamaica hotels are highly class hotel with everything you need.

My friend said the only thing wrong with their vacation was that it wasn't long enough!
