Popeye's prostate protection
We've long known that tomatoes are good for the health of your prostate gland. But tomatoes are not alone anymore. Spinach may be one of the top foods for fighting prostate cancer .
Spinach has a high nutritional value and is very rich in antioxidants, especially when fresh, steamed, or quickly boiled. It is a rich source of Vitamin A(and especially high in lutien),Vitamin C,vitamin E , vitamin K, magnesium, manganese, folate, iron, vitamin B2, calcium, potassium, vitamin B6, folic acid, copper, protein, phosphorus, zinc, niacin, selenium and omega-3 fatty acids. To benefit from the folate in spinach, it is better to steam it than to boil it. Boiling spinach for four minutes can halve the level of folate. Spinach is considered to be a rich source of iron. Spinach also has a high Calcium content.

No wonder Popeye likes it so much :)
I used to eat spinach as a kid because Popeye did, and I still love it. Good to know that is helpful in fighting prostate cancer. I'll need to eat more!
Anything green is always good for you-I have yet to try one of those green drinks with everything thrown in it, but I really want to!
