My online friend will always tell me to download Linux.  He is Linux fanatic. He will blog about it and even got forum. He always invites me to visit him on his group.  He explains about this operating system that can be installed now in mobile phones.  I tell him frankly that I have no knowledge about this Linux as operating system. As I stumbled on internet, I have found out that, there are many people like Linux. I just amazed with there wall papers too.  There are thousand of wall papers in net, but linux wallpapers is stunning. They have a good quality pictures when you try to upload it. It is free to download its wallpapers and desktop background.  You can choose what you like.  They have vague variety of wall papers.  I have creative designs on my desktop.

Difficulty of sleeping

My auntie got insomnia because of stress in her life. She has difficulty in her sleeping pattern. Sometimes she only sleeps for 4 hours. And, woke up with heavy headache. She went to her physician for medical check up. The doctor prescribed her Ambien.  One of the largest prescribed drugs to help patient with insomnia.  My Aunty sleeps 7 hours for the first day, and she is so happy about the outcome of her medication.  Until now, if she has problem with her sleeping, she always has Ambien in her medicine cabinet.  Her life has changed a lot.

1st International Seafarers Convention

The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and the acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) are the among the major problems among overseas Filipino workers and the seaman.

There is a recent report from Department of Health , 178 cases as of this June, 2011. There are 22 found to be from OFWs with 18 of them males and most of them are seaman or sea based personnel.

They acquired the diseases through heterosexual intercourse, bisexual and homosexual intimacy.  New cases has been reported of 1,016 Filipino HIV victims and 18 full blown AIDS cases in the first five months of 2011.

Because of this concern, HIV/AIDS has been listed  among the priority topics to be discussed on the 1st International Seafarers Family Convention and Exhibit Today at the Philippine International Convention Center at Pasay City.

Guest speaker is Dr.Asif Atat, AIDS advisor of the ITF Seafarers Trust in the United Kingdom, was invited to speak the subject topic.
